57 years old, holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Instituto Superior de Gestão (ISG), with further executive education at Harvard Business School and is registered with the Securities and Futures Authority.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has built an extensive leadership track record across the financial, corporate, institutional and academic sectors, holding senior responsibilities in banking, investment, capital markets, private equity, corporate banking and international business.
He began his career in financial markets and brokerage, later assuming executive and board positions in several national and international financial institutions. He was the founder and CEO of ASK – Advisory Services Kapital, a financial advisory boutique focused on strategic and financial advisory services.
Between 2013 and 2016, he served as Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, with responsibility for Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Human Resources and International Operations. During this period, he also chaired the boards of several CGD Group companies, including Caixa Banco de Investimento, Caixa Capital, Caixa Desenvolvimento, and international operations in Angola, Brazil, Macau and South Africa.
Throughout his career, he has also held board positions in insurance, real estate, investment, asset management and financial services companies, as well as strategic advisory roles for national and international business groups.
He currently serves as Chairman of Centromarca, Board Member of SOGEPOC – Sociedade Gestora de Participações Sociais, S.A., and Board Member of Vista Alegre Atlantis.
In 2018, he co-founded CoRe Capital, where he serves as Senior Partner.
