Forbes Portugal magazine presents the 2023 list of the 50 most powerful Portuguese women in business, comparatively analysing a group of entrepreneurs and executives from some of the largest national and international companies.
ISEG alumni Ana Figueiredo, CEO of Altice Portugal, Maria Celeste Hagatong, President of Banco Português de Fomento and Carolina Afonso, CEO of Gato Preto, who is also currently a Professor at ISEG and ISEG Executive Education, as well as Professor Clara Raposo, former Dean of ISEG and current Vice-Governor of Banco de Portugal are present in this list of the most powerful Portuguese women in business. They were recognised based on an evaluation of hundreds of companies, with the following parameters as the decisive factor: personal or family fortune, decision-making power, power of influence, business size and entrepreneurship.
This list shows that Portugal has women who are increasingly making a name for themselves in the business world, betting on their careers and academic backgrounds.
