Ricardo Pinheiro Alves is Chairman of the Board of Directors of idD Portugal Defence. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom and a Master’s degree in European Studies from the Portuguese Catholic University, and has built a professional career that combines a solid academic background with extensive experience in the formulation and analysis of public policy. Throughout his career, he has held positions such as Director of the Research Office at the Ministry of Economy and Coordinator of the National Productivity Council. He was also an Associate Professor of Economics, distinguishing himself through his contributions to research, teaching and reflection on the key economic and competitiveness challenges.
