Rick currently serves on the Board of the Green Finance Authority of Washington, DC (DC Green Bank). During the Obama administration he served as Senior Advisor to the U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change at the U.S. Department of State where he oversaw climate finance negotiations and served as a U.S. board member on the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the largest multilateral climate fund. Prior to public service, Rick has an extensive private sector background as Managing Director at EEA Fund Management, where he was responsible for founding and managing a $400 million clean energy fund (Leaf Clean Energy Company). From 2000 to 2005, Rick was a senior associate at the law firm of Van Ness Feldman focusing on CDM transactions and climate policy. Prior to Van Ness Feldman, he spent 3 years with the Brazilian law firm of Felsberg & Associados. He holds a BA from Lafayette College and a JD from Seton Hall School of Law.
