Jorge Guimaraes has 22 years of experience on Iberian financial markets, mostly dedicated to Iberian equities, in both sell-side (equity research) and buy-side (portfolio manager) positions. Before joining JB Capital to cover Spanish and Portuguese Utilities and Renewable companies, he spent more than 3 years in Haitong Bank, covering Iberian Utilities and Renewables, having also covered the same space in Banif Banco de Investimento. On buy-side, he managed an Iberian equity long-short fund for 6 years, Portuguese and European long only equity funds for 9 years and asset allocation funds for 3 years, while also being the Head of Equities at Banif Gestao de Activos. Jorge has an Economics degree from Nova School of Business and Economics, an MBA from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and is a CFA charter holder.
