Brian is an environmental economist and works in sustainable finance as the Senior Manager of Certification for the Climate Bonds Initiative, a global, investor-focused not-for-profit that is working towards mobilising the $100 trillion bond market for climate-change solutions. Brian earned his Ph.D. (2015) from the Centre of Ecological Economics at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, his M.A. (2003) from the Instituto Universitário de Pesquisas do Rio de Janeiro, and his Hon.B.A. (2001) from the University of Toronto.
