Professor at the Computer Engineering Department of Instituto Superior Técnico, researcher and co-coordinator of the IDSS laboratory of INESC-ID.
His research interests include algorithm engineering and computer science, and he has been involved in several projects in the area of computational biology, bioinformatics, graph mining and data analysis and complex networks.
