ISEG was the first professional school established at University of Lisbon. Founded in 1911, as the first Portuguese school for economics and management.
1911 saw the foundation of two schools: Instituto Superior Técnico (the leading Engineering school in Portugal) and the Instituto Superior de Comércio. These sister schools have benefitted from a close relationship and have developed with some similarities – a strong quantitative and mathematical background which is recognized as a distinctive feature of our faculty and graduates. ISEG boasts the oldest Masters and PhD programs in the areas of management and economics in the country. In 1979, ISEG started postgraduate education with a course in Mathematic Methods for Economics and Business Management.
As of 2013, ISEG and Técnico were integrated with the University of Lisbon, the largest University in the country. Since 2015, degrees in Management, Economics, and Finance are fully taught in English. ISEG is a Triple Crown school and is accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

Applications must be formalized by filling out the form available online on the program's page. To formalize the application the following documents are required: Photo, CV, Identification Document, Taxpayer No., Qualifications Certificate, Certificate of English Level, Motivation Letter and Letter of Recommendation. The coordination takes an average of 8 to 15 working days after submitting the complete documentation and conducting an interview.
Yes. The flight, accommodation and activities in San Francisco are covered by the tuition fee of the MBA.
